Pressures and siege continue and are ratcheted-up against Camp Liberty residents

According to a statement released by Secretariat of the National Council of Resistance of Iran On Monday, January 20, by orders from head henchman Ahmed Khozair, affiliated with the suppressive Ashraf Committee at the Iraqi Prime Ministry, Iraqi forces obstructed entry of seven plastic nylons rolls into Camp Liberty and returned them back from camp’s entrance gate. Residents had purchased the rolls to cover the holes in the roofs of the containers or places that were damaged in the missile attack. Permission for bringing in the nylon had been given in the camp’s management meeting of last week.
Moreover, in the past two days, Iraqi forces obstructed entry of items needed for repairs and maintenance services such as water pipes, work gloves rolls of nylon.

In view of repeated and written commitments by the U.S. government and United Nations concerning safety and security of Camp Liberty residents, the Iranian Resistance demands immediate intervention to end this anti-human siege and to expel criminal operatives such as Major Ahmed Khozair from the camp. The sole purpose served by presence of these elements in Camp Liberty is to harass the residents and instigate bloody incidents previously implemented in Ashraf.
